Created by Japanese perfumer Shinichiro Oba, Matcha Ceremonial honors the qualities of ceremonial matcha: leaves shaded before harvest to increase L-theanin (umami/sweetness) and chlorophyll (green character), which form the foundation for a scent that is at once “sweet-cool” and gently astringent - evoking the subtle tang of suika no kawa (watermelon rind).
